A Tradition of Excellence in Divulapitiya
Located in the heart of Divulapitiya, Sri Gnanawasa Maha Vidyalaya has been a beacon of knowledge and discipline for generations of students. Our school motto, “පඤ්ඤා නරානං රතනං” (Wisdom is the jewel of mankind), is the cornerstone of our educational philosophy.
From humble beginnings, we have grown into a comprehensive institution spanning Grade 1 to Grade 13. We offer the G.C.E. Advanced Level Arts stream with specialized humanities and social sciences subjects, catering to the academic aspirations of our vibrant student body of over 1,400 learners.
Supported by a dedicated faculty of 65 educators, we strive not just for academic brilliance, but for the holistic development of every child who walks through our gates.

Our state-of-the-art IT laboratory, science facilities, and dedicated e-learning platform (LMS) ensure that technology enriches, rather than replaces, the depth of human learning.
